Student Scholarships Eligibility : Students applying for Scholarships must be currently enrolled in the El Reno Independent School District, recommended for graduation in May, 2006, and planning to pursue additional education or certification. Students who have been previously awarded a full scholarship will not be eligible. Application Procedures : Applications are available from all ERSD high school counselors or from the El Reno Public School Foundation office. Applicants should complete the appropriate Student Scholarship application . Each application must be typed and signed by the applicant and his/her counselor. Two ERPSF Personal Reference Forms must be attached to the application. These grant reviews will be anonymous. The application cover sheet will not be included in the review packets provided to Scholarship and Program Subcommittees. Please do not include campus or teacher names in Part II of the proposal. Submit an unbound original plus one copy stapled in top left corner. Please do not place application in a folder or cover. Applications must be received in the ERPSF office by 5:00 p.m. on March 24, 2006 . All applications and materials submitted will become the property of the ERPSF. Application Review Procedures : Immediately prior to each funding period, The ERPSF Board of Directors will be responsible for notifying the Scholarships and Programs Committee of the funds available for awards for that period. Subcommittees with representation from the community will be appointed annually by the Scholarships and Programs Committee and approved by the ERPSF Board. The Chair of the Scholarships and Programs Committee will serve as chair of these subcommittees. The subcommittees will be responsible for reviewing applications and making funding recommendations to the ERPSF Board of Directors. All review procedures will be confidential. General grant and scholarship application review procedures will proceed as follows: 1. Upon receipt in the ERPSF office, an application will be given an internal control number. The applicant's identifying information will be placed on file in the ERPSF office and the application will be submitted to the subcommittee for anonymous review. 2. Subcommittee members will individually, numerically score each application. Subcommittee members will meet and review all application scores. The subcommittee may request a personal interview or site visit if it is deemed necessary to make a decision. 3. Upon completion of the review of all applications, the subcommittees will make written recommendations to the ERPSF Board of Directors regarding Scholarships to be funded. Internal control number will identify these recommendations. Awards : Upon ERPSF Board awards approval, all applicants will be notified in writing of the status of their applications. Notification should occur by May 1, 2006. All awards will be paid directly to an educational institution. Accountability : Upon completion of the funded training period, the scholarship recipient will be responsible for submitting a written summary to the DPSF Scholarships and Programs Committee.
