Since it’s inception The Wilbur and Jean Gardner Scholarship, through El Reno Public Schools Foundation, has awarded over $137,500 in scholarships to El Reno High Schools graduates. Because of their generous endowment, we are able to award $12,000.00 this year.
Elllie Marler: Receiving the Gardner Scholarship is allowing me to attend a school I never thought I would be going to. This fall I will be packing my bags and moving to Fort Worth, Texas to be a student at Texas Christian University. The positive atmosphere at TCU will enable me to continue my life’s work with people who have similar moral character. With TCU being an out of state and private institution tuition is very high. This scholarship will help make my future of changing the world a little bit more affordable. Thank you!
Madison is receiving the Barbara and Gaylord Reuter Endowed Scholarship. From Madi: Receiving the El Reno Public Schools Foundation scholarship means so much to me. With El Reno being my alma mater, I’m thankful to be honored by this scholarship and to live on through my hometown. Having this scholarship during my time at the University of Oklahoma is a blessing because I am reminded daily that people believe in me on my journey to becoming an elementary teacher.
Chloe Miller: The El Reno Public School Foundation has provided me with much more than a scholarship. They’ve allowed me peace of mind to pursue my dreams and focus on my academics and maintaining a high GPA, rather than having to worry about finances. Their generous contribution has provided a strong base for my career and aspirations. All my life I’ve had a passion for people and helping others and this opportunity will enable me to give back to the community I love so much. I plan on becoming a clinical psychiatrist and I know with the help of the foundation scholarship, I am well on my way to that goal.

I am so excited to give back to our beloved town when I finish college. Because of giving communities like El Reno, more kids will be able to achieve their dreams.
So proud of this Gardner scholarship recipient. Massey Beard The ERPS Foundation Scholarship displays the never-ending support that I have from my community. Receiving the scholarship motivates me to maintain my GPA and complete my degree. I look forward to being able to give back to the community once I begin my career in nursing. I want to be the one who shows commitment and determination as I advance my medical education further past nursing school. To the ERPS Foundation Scholarship donors and past alumni, thank you for providing not only the financial support, but also a constant interest in my future. I would also like to express my gratitude towards the ERPS Scholarship Committee for your confidence and willingness to help me achieve my goals. The scholarship gives recognition and the credit earned through hard work and dedication. I am honored to have been chosen and humbly grateful for this opportunity.
From Anna Jeffrey, Gardner Scholarship recipient; The first word that comes to mind when I think of the El Reno Public School Foundation Scholarships is grateful. I am one of five kids and higher education is very important in my family, however it is up to me to financially secure ways to pay for school. This is the second year I’ve received the El Reno Public School Foundation Scholarship and it helps tremendously. This scholarship pushes me to maintain a high GPA and strive for academic excellence. I am eternally grateful for what this foundation, the scholarship Committee and my community has done for me so that I can further my education in Animal Science. After graduating with my bachelors, I plan to return to El Reno and hopefully give back to the community that has given me so much. To the scholarship committee, thank you so much for having so much faith in me and blessing me with this opportunity. No words could possibly describe how thankful I am for this scholarship. It is because of communities like El Reno, that kids like me can achieve such high goals.
