Scholarship Form

Please carefully read the details below of each scholarship for which you intend to apply. Scholarships may have different requirements and it is important to understand the requirements, stipulations, and details of each scholarship before applying.

A. SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

a. Applicant must be a past or present graduate of El Reno High School.
b. A GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale while attending EHS is preferred.
c. A GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale must be maintained to remain qualified for the
scholarship once awarded.
d. Applicant must attach to application an essay of 150 words or less describing his/her
education and career plans, and how this scholarship would benefit those plans.
e. Applications must be received by the ERPS Foundation, by the Friday after Spring Break, to be considered
for the annual scholarship competition, unless arrangements have been made with the
ERPSF Scholarship Committee chairman.
f. The application must include a current transcript of all schools attended or attending.
The transcript(s) does not need to be an official sealed copy.
g. Enclose two (2) letters of reference, from teachers, employers, ministers, or others.
Relatives may not write letters of reference for this scholarship application.

amount based strictly on interest monies earned.
b. Those applicants being considered for one of the scholarships will be asked to take part
in an interview session with the selection committee.
c. Recipients of a scholarship will have two (2) years to draw funds for books, fees, and
tuition at the education institution of the recipients’ choice. Scholarship proceeds will be
paid directly to the institution. Monies needed for other than the above mentioned items
can be applied for through the ERPSF selection committee for their consideration.
d. Financial need may be considered, also is not a requirement.
e. Additional questions concerning this scholarship may be submitted to the ERPSF board
of directors or an EHS Guidance Counselor.

A scholarship has been endowed by Chad Neathery and the Family of Tommy
Neathery. This scholarship was endowed in 2022. Both families have strong ties
to OCU and will give preference to OCU applicants and working individuals.
